Microsoft keeps its service running, but it isn’t a full backup of your data. Deleted items are only kept for a limited time, and ransomware or a mistake can affect everything. A separate backup protects you.
We agree a schedule with you based on how much data you can afford to lose - typically at least daily.
Individual files and emails can usually be restored quickly by our helpdesk. Larger restores depend on the amount of data, and we plan for them with you in advance.
Backup management is included in our IT support plan. Backup storage is quoted based on how much data you need to protect.
Offsite, separate backups are one of the best defences. Combined with good security and Cyber Essentials, they mean you can recover without paying a ransom.
